Knowing it’s there isn’t enough
As a team of industry-leaders, our asbestos registers are written for the moments when people need clear answers before work begins.
North West Asbestos & Demolition Solutions produces asbestos registers for commercial, government, mining and industrial workplaces across the Pilbara and Kimberley. Built to be relied on under pressure, these are the documents opened when maintenance is approved, when scopes change, when contractors question what they can touch, and when regulators ask how asbestos risk is being controlled.
Each asbestos register is developed from detailed inspection and laboratory testing, supported by a clear asbestos report that removes ambiguity. Information is presented so project teams can act without interpretation, delay or second-guessing, whether the task is routine maintenance or a complex refurbishment.
An effective asbestos registration process does more than identify materials – it ensures the information is structured, accessible and kept up to date. A person with management or control of a workplace is required to ensure an asbestos register is prepared and maintained, unless the building was constructed after 31 December 2003. Where asbestos is identified or assumed, a register must be in place and readily accessible to those who need it.
The asbestos register is intended to prevent accidental disturbance. It records identified or assumed asbestos or asbestos containing materials (ACM), including details such as location, type and condition, along with when the material was identified. Where no asbestos is present, the register must clearly state this.
