Westpac Bank Refurbishment, Broome

North West Asbestos & Demolition Solutions was engaged to deliver staged demolition and asbestos removal works as part of a refurbishment project at Westpac Broome.

The project was completed across multiple phases to align with the refurbishment program. Initial works involved a soft strip-out of internal fixtures, including built-in desks, cabinetry, and associated fittings, with all materials removed, loaded, and transported to the Shire of Broome waste management facility.

Subsequent stages included the removal of existing flooring materials identified as containing asbestos (blackjack adhesive), including within the main areas and ATM room. All asbestos removal works were undertaken using controlled methods in accordance with relevant legislation and codes of practice.

Air monitoring was conducted throughout each stage of asbestos removal, with results analysed by an approved laboratory. All results confirmed no airborne asbestos fibres were detected during or after the works.

This project demonstrates our ability to deliver staged asbestos removal and demolition within live commercial environments, ensuring safety, compliance, and minimal disruption to ongoing operations.
