Cable Beach Foreshore Redevelopment

North West Asbestos & Demolition Solutions was engaged to undertake the safe removal of an underground asbestos pipeline as part of the Cable Beach foreshore redevelopment in Broome.

The works formed a critical component of enabling infrastructure for Phase 2 of the redevelopment, ensuring the site was safely remediated for ongoing construction activities.

Given the nature of buried asbestos-containing materials, the pipeline was carefully exposed and removed using controlled, non-destructive methods to prevent fibre release and maintain the integrity of surrounding infrastructure. Strict environmental and safety controls were implemented throughout all stages of the works.

All asbestos waste was securely contained, transported, and disposed of at the Shire of Broome waste management facility in full compliance with applicable legislation and local government requirements.

This project highlights our capability to deliver specialised asbestos removal in sensitive public environments, supporting major civil and infrastructure upgrades across regional Western Australia.
