Asbestos Remediation Works, Luurnpa Catholic School, Balgo

North West Asbestos & Demolition Solutions was initially engaged to attend Luurnpa Catholic School to respond to damaged asbestos-containing wall cladding.

Our team mobilised to this remote community to safely remove the broken asbestos wall sheeting and install temporary boarding to secure the area and eliminate immediate risk to building occupants.

Following the initial response, North West Asbestos & Demolition Solutions was re-engaged to undertake further asbestos-related works, including additional sampling and the update of the existing Asbestos Register to reflect current site conditions. All sampling was conducted in accordance with relevant Codes of Practice, with analysis undertaken by a NATA-accredited laboratory.

Works were delivered in a highly remote environment, with extended travel durations and logistical challenges, including severe weather conditions impacting access to site. Despite these constraints, all works were completed safely, efficiently, and in compliance with applicable legislation.

This project demonstrates North West Asbestos & Demolition Solutions capability to deliver responsive asbestos services in remote and challenging environments, including emergency response, remediation, and ongoing asbestos management.
